Vice President Leads Delegation to Visit Russian Universities |

From December 11th to 15th, VicePresidentLiang Shujuan of the university led a delegation to engage in anexchange visitto some Russian universities. Officials from the Academic AffairsOffice,International Cooperation and Exchange Office, School of Pharmacy, andSchoolof Rehabilitation Medicine accompanied the visit. Thedelegation visited the People's Friendship University of Russia and St.Petersburg State University separately, engaging in cooperative discussionswith university representatives and relevant personnel. At the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia, our school's delegation wasreceived by Vice President Natalya V. Syulkova and Yulia Gushchina, Deputy Deanof the Medical School. Both parties reviewed the progress of cooperation since establishing the friendly ties between the institutions. They discussed recent developments at the respective universities and engaged in in-depth discussions and detailed conversations about collaboration plans in various aspects, including joint undergraduate, master's, and doctoral programs in fields likeclinical medicine, credit recognition, student exchanges, overseas internships, faculty and teacher exchanges for academic purposes, joint researchinitiatives, and the establishment of joint teacher training bases. At St. Petersburg State University, the delegation was received by Valeria A.Malomuzh, Deputy Vice President for International Affairs. Discussions centeredaround educational philosophies, talent development systems, disciplineconstruction, and international cooperation. Both sides delved into specificsabout student exchanges, collaborative educational programs, faculty visits foracademic exchange, international curriculum, joint research initiatives, andsigned a memorandum of friendly cooperation, solidifying inter-universityfriendly relations. Duringthe visit, the delegation toured the campuses of both universities, gaininginsights into educational philosophies, university management systems,assessment methods, undergraduate and postgraduate education models,disciplinary construction, and international cooperation experiences. This visit and exchange hold significant importance as they aim to solidify andexpand the partnership between our school and Russian universities. Itinitiates a new phase of high-level external cooperation and exchange,elevating the international standards of talent cultivation and scientificresearch at the university. Ultimately, it greatly contributes to thehigh-quality development of the institution.
